Must-Haves

Hey everyone! So when I am in the kitchen, there are a few inventions I do not think I could cook without or even possibly live without! Here are some of the things I think I really need in my kitchen. I will update this page as I become drastically attached to other kitchen gadgets! Hope this helps!

My Handy Dandy Kitchen Aid Stand Mixer. This does a lot of work for me. It beats eggs, mixes batters, kneads dough, and even shreds chicken! You name it, it does it!

I am also in love with my zester. I have bought many, and they always fail me. Not to mention the band-aids they leave on my fingers. This one is a great hand held one. It is great for variety in sizes, and works amazing on chocolate!

My rubber spatulas. Oh, how I love you. These babies do everything. Nothing goes to waste. They scrape the life out of a bowl. They stir, they mix, and they are great for folding things into batters. Plus they are great for folding in whipped egg whites without deflating them! If you don't have one, then quick get to the store and buy one. NOW! Even if you are in mismatching pajamas!

Ahhhhaaaa, my tube pan. This was a pan my mother got me as a gift. I was so excited I took pictures of it and send it to everyone I knew. Of course, they all thought I was crazy! That is, until - until - they tasted the amazing cake I made with it! This pan is for baking chiffon cakes or angel food cakes. Since you don't spray it, your cake clings to the sides. When it comes out, you flip it and it stands on its legs, yes I said legs. This allows your cake to cool as it increases in volume. And taking it out is easy peasy, because it's two pieces. AHHHHHH! I'm getting excited describing it. YOU WILL LOVE IT!

These Pyrex bowls are AMAZING. They are great for baking. You can make small desserts in them, or throw in some leftover batter instead of getting a huge pan dirty. They are also great for separating ingredients as you cook! You NEED them. I EMPHASIZE NEED!

This tbsp/tsp measure is great. You will no longer shuffle for your million tbsp/tsp measures because they are all here in this single spoon. Just slide the top to your required measure and go to town! It is a great tool for the kitchen!

Now I wish someone would invent a single measuring cup, but instead I have these great collapsible silicone ones. They fold easily so they never get stuck in the top of your drawer. You will no longer scratch you arms trying to get your drawer to open. So save your arms the misery and the price of band-aids (Expensive!) and get yourself some!

These cutting boards are great. They are in plain view and easy to separate and grab. They keep your cooking sanitary because they are clearly labeled. Don't give someone salmonella. Get some!

These Kershaw knives are super sharp. They are knives that you will not struggle with, and there are ones for any kind of use.

Okay, so sometimes a measuring cup doesn't do the best job. This scale is a great back-up for times like those. It is also great for recipes that need to be really precise.

This hand juicer is great for when you don't want to take out the heavy juicer for a single lemon or orange or whatever it is. They are easy to clean and work great.

I am not advertising anything on this page. I am simply telling you about all the things I like to use!
